These are part of my Violet collection, named after my friend's little girl. The collection includes 6 Burro Creek Jasper cabochons cut by a local woman, and 1 Tiffany stone and 1 Burro Creek Jasper cut by a local man. The Burro Creek Jasper was mined right here in Arizona, home of the Burros - wild donkeys. The high quality and rare Tiffany stone is from Utah.
I set these large, gorgeous Burro Creek Jasper teardrops in a Fine Silver bezel, with a Sterling Silver bail. The back plate is hand stamped copper. The textured ball at the top is an acacia tree bud I cast in bronze. I also cast some in Sterling Silver for 4 of the necklaces. Casting is a lot of work! It involves working with wax, investment, a kiln, flames, and many more steps to obtain the finished product.
Necklace #1 is 2 1/2"H x 1 1/2"W, on a 20" sturdy stainless steel chain with lobster clasp.
